The Prices Trust in Shoreditch had free etching classes for students on Mondays. I went along, expecting to be bored by some lengthy process or burnt by an obscure chemical. The bar was low.
What I found was it was one of the most enjoyable and therapeutic processes I had come across: I was hooked. You eventually are left with a sheet of etched metal that you can print in a variety of ways: this meant playfulness and possibility.
As you can see my subject matters were mostly nudes from varied life drawings or sources: The more obscure being Man On Barcelona Beach Taking Accidental Selfie (No documentation of our presence on the holiday was achieved), an Abstract Naked Flatmate and another involuntary member of Barcelona beach.
Thank you, Barcelona. Thank you, Bottoms.
